Inter-Provincial Migration on the rise in BC!

Inter-Provincial Migration is on the rise in BC!

Population growth is a primary driver of the housing market and the outflow of potential homebuyers to other Provinces has coincided with weakness in consumer demand here in BC.  As of the first quarter of 2014, the flow of interprovincial migration seems to be reversing and population growth is trending higher in BC.  Improving economic growth helped attract more people from the rest of Canada to BC.  The British Columbia Real Estate Assoc. forecasts that growth in BC will pick up speed in 2014/2015.  As more population move here, stronger housing demand is expected to follow.  Courtesy of BCREA.
