Consumer demand has picked up steam this past year and more Buyers are jumping in to take advantage of the still affordable, low interest rates. However, rather than signaling a return of accelerated markets and frenetic home buyers, consumer demand is simply transitioning back to long term averages. There are encouraging signs that the economy is improving and housing demand has gained momentum since early 2013. The average BC home price is now forecast to rise by 4.3% in 2014 and the average MLS residential price in the province is forecast to edge up to 2.1%
