Why would I need a Land Surveyor for a home purchase?

You may want a Land Surveyor on a single family home purchase, if the Seller doesn't have a current survey or certificate of location.  A survey is important as it shows the location of the home on the lot, rights of way, dimensions, etc.  Most Banks require a copy of the survey if you are going to have a mortgage on the Title.
