Time change and smoke detectors!

Blog by Diane Cardoso | March 5th, 2013

Spring Ahead to Daylight Savings Time on Sun. March 10th at 2 a.m., and keep your family safe by updating your smoke detector!
Your first line of defense in case of a fire is your home smoke detectors and they may save your family’s life if properly maintained.  It is important to put smoke detectors in the right places in your home. They give you an early warning that danger is present, and could give your family time to reach safety.  All homes should have smoke detectors. Many newer homes have smoke detectors wired directly into the electrical system. There are also many different models of portable smoke detectors that are battery-operated and easy to install.  USE OUR BI-ANNUAL TIME CHANGES AS A REMINDER TO TEST YOUR SMOKE ALARMS.
