Entrepreneur Startup made easy in Richmond

Blog by Diane Cardoso | October 20th, 2011

Entrepreneurs looking to start and run a business in the City of Richmond can now do so quicker and easier with the help of BizPal, a free online tool that generates a customized list of permits and licences needed from all levels of government.

“BizPal is a user-friendly, web-based application that augments services we already offer to our business community,” said Mayor Malcolm Brodie. “By following an easy step-by-step process, it streamlines the business permitting and licensing process, saving businesses time and money.”

To access BizPal on the City’s website, go to www.richmond.ca (Business & Development > Economic Development > Starting Your Business). After answering a few short questions specific to your business type, the system generates a list of all permits and licences required from all levels of government. The list will also provide links to other useful information including application forms, contact numbers and information on any required inspections.
